Josh has been practicing engineering since 1973, and has maintained his own structural engineering design and consulting practice since December, 1978. Josh is licensed or registered as a structural engineer in 7 States, and is the Structural Engineer of Record for thousands of structures. He has served as a consultant for plaintiffs and defendants in several hundred disputes related to construction defects, structural failures, and professional engineers’ negligence, and has appeared as an expert witness in several dozen legal proceedings concerning such matters. Josh’s writings on the topic of the standard of care, the concept of care in engineering and engineering ethics have been published in books and in peer-reviewed journals, and he has spoken on those topics as an invited and peer-reviewed presenter both nationally and internationally.
