Ben Nelson, P.E.
Principal and Chair-Emeritus, Martin/Martin, Inc.
Ben has 41 years’ experience in structural engineering and is Principal and Chair-Emeritus of Martin/Martin, Inc. , a 380 person firm based in Denver, Colorado with eight offices. He serves as a national leader in the structural engineering profession with NCSEA and regionally with the Structural Engineers Association of Colorado (SEAC). Most recently, he joined with NCSEA leadership to launch an SE-focused Business Practices Survey with a focus on the practicing structural engineer.
As engineer-of-record, he has the distinct fortune to have interwoven his love of music with his structural engineering career, devoting most of his profession designing concert halls, amphitheaters, studios and performing arts centers throughout the United States. Many of his project designs have received regional, national and even international recognition and awards.
